Gah!

I have hit a set-back in my training schedule. Shin-splints. Grr...

I felt like I was starting to get them last Friday after my easy run, so I took Saturday off. Ran Sunday with my new shoes, thinking they would help, but apparently the pounding caused by running was enough to cause damage anyway. So far today, I've spent entirely too much time sitting with my feet propped up. I went for a short walk, but they even hurt a bit then. Soooo lame.

  1. Hang in there Bryana! I'm so proud of you for getting taking this challenge. You will be rewarded for your discipline and commitment, I promise! Besides finding a cure for Crohns and Colitis, you'll make friends, be in great shape and have a wonderful vacation. Doesn't get better than that! So don't fret about the shin splints - they will heal; new shoes will be well worth their cost - and you'll be back on the trail in no time! Call me if I can do anything to help! Jodie
